Woods Backed As Most Likely Major Winner In 2019

Tiger Woods is leading the betting as the most likely winner of a major championship next year.

Another victory in one of the four big ones would bring the 14-time major winner within three of Jack Nicklaus’ all-time major record of 18. Confidence is growing amongst golf punters after Woods recorded his first tournament victory in five years in September’s Tour Championship.

BoyleSports chalked Woods up at only 3/1 to grab his 15th major title next season, but he has already been backed into 5/2, putting him ahead of other likely major winners Dustin Johnson and Jordan Spieth at 3/1.

World Number 1 Brooks Koepka is a 7/2 shot to add to his major tally, as is Rory McIlroy, who last tasted major success in the USPGA Championship of 2014.
