Xander Schauffele Cut To Win First Major In 2020

We have cut Xander Schauffele into 9/2 from 8/1 to win at least one major in 2020 following his tremendous effort to finish second to Rory McIlroy in the Tour Championship at East Lake.

It’s only a matter of time before the ‘2017 Rookie of the Year’ wins something big having finished tied 2nd in the 2019 Masters, tied 2nd in The Open Championship last year and tied 3rd in the US Open this year.

The four-time PGA Tour winner is 50/1 to win two majors in 2020 and a short 1/5 to win no majors at all.

Schauffele heads into this week’s Porsche European Open as the 11/2 favourite, cut from 10/1. Paul Casey, who is without a win in Europe since the 2014 KLM Open is 7/1, with 2018 Masters champion Patrick Reed the 8/1 third favourite.

Rory McIlroy has been in serious form lately winning the FedEx Cup and proved at the Omega Masters last weekend that he is on the verge of returning to number one status. The Holywood man is 11/1 from 16/1 to win two majors next year, a feat he last achieved when winning The Open and USPGA Championships in 2014.
