Ballymac Arminta New Favourite For BoyleSports Champion Stakes Final

Records are made to be broken and Ballymac Arminta has been trying her best to smash track records around Shelbourne Park with another brilliant display on Saturday night in the BoyleSports Champion Stakes semi-finals.

Three heats took place with two dogs qualifying from each to make up the final that will be take place on Saturday.

It didn’t take Arminta long to appreciate her return to Shelbourne Park as she opened up a four-length lead by the second turn in her heat. She cruised to victory clocking a magnificent 29.12 to record the second fastest time in history for the 550 yards trip.

We have slashed her price into Even Money from 6/1 for the final making her the new favourite.

Jaytee Sienna (25/1) took the second spot for Paul Hennessy who won this competition for the last two years when making history with Jaytee Yankee.

Wolfe got things off to a flying start in the opening heat of the BoyleSports Champion Stakes, returning to winning ways after his stint across the pond in the English Greyhound Derby.

Wolfe went howling clear down the back straight as he ran out an impressive winner in 29.61. He is now the 2/1 second favourite, cut from the 5/1 favourite. Droopys Neymar was second with his price at 16/1.

In the second heat it was Run Happy for Pat Buckley that landed the spoils as the aptly named talent ran out a comfortable winner in 29.53. He is now 11/2 for the final with Totos Park (5/1) grabbing second spot, ending the dream for Jaytee Yankee in his attempt to get into the final to try and win a third Champion Stakes as he was a neck back in third.
