Grace And Matt Bruton Champion Bitch Stake Preview

Ahead of the upcoming Grace And Matt Bruton Champion Bitch Stake we bring you everything you need to know about the qualifiers.

Lakeside Pearl (Newinn Wonder-Not My Pick)

Started off the year by dividing a duffer stake in Loughrea, now she’s in the Champion Bitch Stake! Picked up 5 points when winning in Nenagh in what looked a very decent Bitch Stake, she then ran up in Rathdowney and also ran up in Templetuohy (beat by Blades Of Honour). Will be a big price on Tuesday morning, will want plenty of luck on her side.

Blades Of Honour (Adios Alonso-Blades Of Glory)

Four runs resulting in three victories this season. The only blot in her copybook was in Newcastlewest (beat by Bellinter Kerry in round two). Her best performance of the year looked to be in Templetouhy, she looked in trouble in round one and the hare denied her big time and she still managed to get up and win. She reached the third round of the Oaks last season but was withdrawn following a hard run. Looks banker material in this Stake.

Ballymac Meena (Ballymac Best-Ballymac Adelpha)

What an amazing lady, has a won a few races on the track at the back end of last year! Done a 17.34 sprint trial in Tralee in November. Her big win on the coursing field this season came in Tralee as she took the Kingdom Cup along with the 9 points on offer. She also bagged two vital points by reaching the semi-final of the Cup in Ballyheigue.

Share The Dream (Adios Alonso-Class Attraction)

The lady is unbeaten through out her career! Reached the quarter final of the Oaks last season but unfortunately had to be withdrawn. Was hot favourite in all her three outings this year (Kilflynn, Limerick City and Urlingford). Really stole the show in Urlingford where she looked to relish the hill. Has been a credit to her connections so far, is second in the betting behind Blades Of Honour.

Heartofalady (Adios Alonso-Buisness Belle)

Has had plenty of outings all season, her two victories came in Ennis/Clarecastle and Waterford. Also picked up 2.5 points for running up in Killimer Kilrush. Her form at the Waterford meeting (in Sevenhouses) tells us she should have no problems with the surroundings in Powerstown Park.

Southofhere (Adios Alonso-Loyal Leader)

Looked to really improve this season. Had two high profile victories in Ballyheigue and Lixnaw early in the season who looked to be a shrewd move by connections. In her final appearance of the year she reached the semi-final of the Kingdom Cup, what stood out to me here was her clocks in the early rounds. She was as good as anything in it.

Dromoher Glory (Newinn Wonder-Yukon Glory)

Finished last season by winning the Fedamore Open! She carried on where she left off from last year by winning in Milltown Malbay and this was followed up by a win in Killimer/Kilrush (beat Heartofalady in the final). Disappointed on her final appearance in Templetuohy (beat in round one). Another lady who will need plenty of luck on her side to be involved.

Bellinter Kerry (Newinn Wonder-Blue From Kerry)

This lady reached the third round of the Kitty Butler last season at the National Meeting. Has had near perfect season this year with wins coming in Dungannon and East Donegal, her only blip came in Newcastlewest where she was beat in the final by Howyamissus. Has been drawn in what looks the easier half of the draw on paper.
