Magical Bale New Favourite For English Greyhound Derby

BoyleSports Irish Greyhound Derby runner-up Magical Bale is now the 10/3 favourite from 7/2 for the English Greyhound Derby and is one of two runners left in the competition for trainer Kevin Hutton.

…but there is not much between them as they battle it out in the same semi-final this Saturday, with the pair priced at 6/4 to land the spoils and book their place in the final.

Queen Beyonce has been a breath of fresh air in this year’s English Greyhound Derby with the Liz McNair-trained bitch remaining unbeaten in this prestigious event. Beyonce has been cut into 6/1 from 12/1 following her superb quarter-final display with the other bitch Ballymac Tas 25/1 from 33/1.

Three trainers have two dogs each remaining in the competition and Kevin Hutton is the 11/8 favourite to become the winning trainer again with Liz McNair (11/2) and Paul Hennessy (6/1). There are six Irish and six English runners left in this year’s Derby, with the Irish at 6/5 to be the winning nationality behind 8/13 favourites UK.
