Riverside Leo Shortened For National Produce Stakes

The 2019 Larry O’Rourke National Produce Stakes takes place this Sunday at Clonmel with €20,000 up for grabs and Graham Holland not only trains the favourite Riverside Leo in trap four, but also half of the field.

Holland won this race in 2016 and 2017 with Clares Rocket and Clonbrien Hero respectively.

Both were favourites on the night of their big success and Riverside Leo is no different.

We have made this consistent greyhound the favourite from the start of the competition at 7/1 but he is now just Even money to land the spoils having won his last three heats and is also owned by the sponsor of this competition, Larry O’Rourke.

Holland also trains the second favourite Mucky Brae in trap one who is now just 3/1 after an initial 14/1 available at the beginning of this prestigious event. Trap two Herecomesdahoney is a 7/2 shot, with 7/1 available just days ago.

Patrick Guilfoyle is enjoying plenty of success, most recently with Skywalker Logan winning the Cesarewitch in Mullingar and then breaking the track record at Nottingham in the first round of the English Greyhound Derby.

Guilfoyle trains trap three Grangeview Ten who is not without a chance here. He was 10/1 before the semi-finals and could provide some value to punters while Riverside Leo is the biggest liability in the market for us.

A dark horse in the market is trap six Ardfert Rooster at 12/1 and he is very well housed.
