Skywalker Logan Odds Shorten For English Greyhound Derby

Skywalker Logan set Nottingham’s track on fire last Saturday as he smashed the record in a blistering 29.05 run in the first round on the English Greyhound Derby over the 500 metres distance.

We have cut Patrick Guilfoyle’s speedster into 8/1 from 10/1, with 25/1 available at the start of the competition.

Logan is the 4/1 favourite to become the ‘Top Irish trained Greyhound’ with Lenson Blinder the second favourite at 15/2 for trainer Graham Holland. Holland had a super first round as he sent out four winners and a further three qualifiers.

Lenson Blinder was the fastest of Holland’s four winners with his odds being cut into 14/1 from 16/1 in the ante post market.

Queen Beyonce is the fastest greyhound to the halfway mark in the English Greyhound Derby so far according to the latest figures with a whopping 14.60 recorded and 29.27 for the winning time.

Her odds have plummeted in the ‘Top Bitch’ market with the 9/2 well and truly smashed and she is now the 15/8 favourite. Beyonce has also been clipped into 20/1 from 25/1 for outright glory.

BoyleSports Xtra is the fourth fastest to the halfway point recording 14.72 with his odds shrinking into 33/1 from 40/1.

Wolfe was one of the most impressive first round winners beating the second ante post favourite Dorotas Wildcat. Wolfe is available at 5/2 to be the ‘Top Graham Holland Trained Runner’ in this year’s English Greyhound Derby and he is a 16/1 in the outright betting, with Dorotas Wildcat cut into 10/1 from 12/1 to defend his title.
