Top Tipsters Go Head-To-Head For Derby

As proud sponsors, we have launched a Boylesports Irish Greyhound Derby Tipping competition with ten greyhound experts from either side of the Irish Sea set to go head-to-head in a bid to predict the winner and earn some winnings which will be donated directly to the Retired Greyhound Trust Ireland.

The ten tipsters include Michael and Ian Fortune, The Racing Post’s Jim Cremin, Racing Post TV presenters Errol Blyth, Jonathan Hobbs, Jonathan Kay, Sky’s Tony Ennis, The Irish Sun’s Declan O’Donoghue, Irish Examiner’s Tommy Lyons and last but not least Boylesports’ Kevin Hennessy.

Each tipster has been given a €100 bet to place on a dog in the outright market with any winnings from their selection been donated by Boylesports to the Retired Greyhound Trust Ireland.

In conjunction with our Irish Greyhound Derby Knockout Moneyback offer, if any of the tipster’s selections are knocked out in either the 1st, 2nd or 3rd rounds, Boylesports will allow the tipster to pick another dog at their current price.

Boylesports Irish Greyhound Derby Charity Tipster Selections

Michael Fortune – Mind the Net (20/1)
Mind the Net – 20/1
Went off fav for this year’s English Derby final only to encounter trouble at the 1st bend, with a clear run he is as fast as they get.

Ian Fortune – Droopys Nidge (10/1)
‘Wonder Pup’ astonishing start to his career with the fastest debut ever recorded, has won 5 from 6 and has the world potentially at his feet.

Jim Cremin – Priceless Lassie (33/1)
Unbeaten bitch who was very impressive in each of her outings and her recent Shelbourne trial suggests she is special. Inexperience could be the only issue.

Declan O’Donoghue – Barefoot Apollo (66/1) General Wolf (33/1)

Tommy Lyons – Skywalker Farloe (10/1)
Easter Cup champion who can start slowly but makes up for it with scintillating back straight pace and finishing power.

Tony Ennis – Boylesports Hero (16/1) Skywalker Farloe (12/1)

Jonathan Hobbs – Holdem Spy (20/1)
Lacks early pace but is the fastest finisher in the completion, desperately unlucky in the English Derby not to qualify. Never knows when he is beat.

Jonathan Kay – Underground Paul (80/1) Mind The Net (12/1)

Errol Blythe – Mind the Net (20/1)

Kevin Hennessy – Boylesports Hero – 16/1 Loughil Blake (16/1)
