The anonymous punter struck the winning bets in a BoyleSports shop, picking four horses for a €2 each-way Lucky 15 and €10 each-way accumulator, amounting to a total stake of €80.

That investment looked increasingly shrewd when Our Power (7/2) and Ghaly (10/3) won in quick succession at Ascot and Newmarket, while another victory at Ascot for 10/3 pick Fire Flyer left the expectant punter on the verge of a windfall.

Fourth and final selection Astral Beau was picked out at 10/3 in the 5.08 at Newmarket and completed the stunning run of four successive winners by 1¾ lengths.

That allowed the punter to return to the shop and hand their betslip over in return for a healthy total of €8,053.37.

Lawrence Lyons, spokesperson for BoyleSports said: “Huge congratulations to our Wicklow customer who won’t forget this weekend in a hurry thanks to their savvy picks on the horses. They deserve all the plaudits for landing four winners and we hope they enjoy every cent.”

Elsewhere, another racing punter in County Antrim is celebrating a memorable win after scooping a four-figure sum from their weekend flutter.

The anonymous customer struck the bet on their BoyleSports account and picked out four horses running at four different tracks on Saturday for a £10 each-way accumulator.

They needed all four to at least place to see a return for their investment, but an even bigger prize was on the cards when Common Practice (7/2), Sputnik (2/1) and Highway One O Two (15/2) all won their respective races at Galway, Ayr and Ascot.

The chunky payout then rested on 2/1 pick Molly Ollys Wishes in the 2.25 at Wetherby and the selection held on for a 1¼ length victory to trigger the windfall.

The fabulous winning streak was enough to see the lucky winner’s account balance boosted by a whopping total of £7,012.50.

Lawrence Lyons, spokesperson for BoyleSports said: “We have to tip our hats to our County Antrim customer on their savvy selections. They’ll certainly enjoy a treat this Halloween and when you pick out four winners, we must say you deserve every penny.”
