Bondi Beach All The Rage To Give AOB Fifth Leger Success

Eight runners have been declared for Saturday’s St Leger at Doncaster and it’s currently the Aidan O’Brien trained Bondi Beach that heads the betting at 9/4, in a bid to reverse the Great Voltigeur Stakes form with the William Haggas trained Storm The Seas priced at 5/2 to continue his winning ways.

Order Of St George, who had initially been the Antepost favourite, has been eased out to 3/1 with stablemate Fields Of Athenry next in the betting at 13/2.

Simple Verse who has been supplemented for the race is priced at 9/1 to follow up her Group 3 Goodwood win, whilst French raider Vengeur Masque is priced at 33/1 alongside the Richard Hannon trained Proposed.

David Brown’s Medrano makes up the eight runner field at 40/1.

The money has come in for Bondi Beach and our traders are expecting that Aidan O’Brien’s three year old, who has ½ length to find with Storm The Seas, will go off shorter come race day judging by the demand in the past 24 hours.

Bondi Beach is by far the worst result in the Antepost book for the firm by a mile.

Punters certainly believe that Aidan O’Brien has a strong chance of saddling his fifth St Leger success on Saturday as stable mate Fields Of Athenry is also attracting each way support and is now 13/2 from 7/1 and currently the second worst result in the book.
