Boylesports in 3 Year Irish Greyhound Derby Deal with IGB

Less than a month since sponsoring Ireland’s biggest jump race, the Grand National, Boylesports have announced another major investment in Irish sport by agreeing a deal…

…to back the Irish Greyhound Derby for the next three years.

Included in the deal, Boylesports will also continue to support the Race of Champions at Tralee’s Kingdom Stadium, which is due to take place again early next month. In addition Boylesports have also secured the rights to be the official betting partner of the IGB throughout the entirety of the deal.

The company have made a commitment to focus its sponsorship portfolio on events which are widely recognised as iconic Irish sporting events and therefore have a special place in the hearts of the people. This sponsorship engages directly with that policy and ensures the financial backing for the next three years of Ireland’s major greyhound race.

Commenting on the deal Boylesports owner John Boyle said: “We are absolutely thrilled to announce the sponsoring of the Irish Greyhound Derby for an initial 3 years. Every year we examine ways of increasing our sponsorship portfolio and when the IGB kindly approached us we had little hesitation in reaching an agreement. This is a further reflection of our desire to support major sports in Ireland and together with our two recent flagship horse racing sponsorships means that we are reinvesting more money into Irish sports than ever before”

He continued: “By becoming the official betting partner of the IGB, it means that we will be extending our product offering and enhancing the service to our customers. I have always had a particular passion for this sport and I will be hoping that recent Con and Annie Kirby Memorial Limerick winner, Boylesports Hero, can progress throughout the heats of the tournament.
