Caid Du Berlais Big Money Mover

Galway Plate

Outright Betting

We can report that the Paul Nicholls trained Caid Du Berlais is the latest mover in Wednesday’s Galway Plate.

The five year old son of Westener who was last seen finishing a close second at Aintree has been supported into 12/1 from 14/1.

At the head of the betting it’s a 10/1 three way tie for favouritism with the Jonjo O’Neill trained It’s A Gimme, and the Dessie Hughes trained duo of Art Of Logistics and Golden Wonder.

Last year’s runner up, Quantitativeeasing is priced at 20/1 to go one better on Wednesday whilst the Charlie Longsdon trained Vulcanite is another likely UK raider who is also owned by JP McManus and currently priced at 12/1.

Spring Heeled who landed the Kim Muir at the Cheltenham Festival for trainer Jim Culloty is priced at 16/1 to get back to winning ways. Willie Mullins who last won the race in 2011 with Blazing Tempo holds three entries with Balnaslow and Away We Go both priced at 12/1 whilst Terminal is on offer at 16/1.

Paul Nicholls last won the Galway Plate with Oslot in 2008 and certainly punters believe that Caid Du Berlais can provide the Ditcheat trainer with a second Galway Plate success.

Golden Wonder currently remains our worst result in the Ante post book having been initially installed at 12/1 last week. Dessie Hughes runner continues to attract support at his current price of 10/1 and may well yet be made the clear favourite by punters come race day on Wednesday.
