Dad Is Very Happy With Churchill Ahead of Juddmonte
What a renewal of the Juddmonte Stakes we have at York this year.
Between Churchill, Barney Roy and Ulysses to name a few, it’s probably the best renewal of the race that I’ve ever seen.
Obviously I’m in the Churchill camp and I cannot wait to see what he produces on Wednesday. The last time we saw Churchill, he finished fourth behind Barney Roy, the winner of the St. James’s Palace Stakes at Royal Ascot in June.
He’s stepping up in trip and Dad seems very happy with him. Donnacha rides him every day and is happy with him also. It’s a big ask and is one of the most competitive races in the world.
It’s a top class race and hopefully it’s a fair one and the best horse wins. I’m certainly looking forward to it. Churchill has won four of his five career starts with just that last defeat.
This will be the best race that he has ever ran in so it will take a career best to win it.
The same can be said for some of the other runners in it too. It’s not an easy task but hopefully he has the guts to do it.
