Too Darn Hot Shortens For Sussex Stakes

In less than twenty-four hours, trainer John Gosden has captured two Group 1 victories in two separate countries with his two superstars Enable and Too Darn Hot.

Too Darn Hot burned up Deauville on Sunday afternoon claiming his first win of the year landing the Qatar Prix Jean Prat beating Space Blues by three lengths over the seven-furlong trip.

BoyleSports have since slashed the odds on the Dewhurst Stakes winner into 5/2 from 7/1 to win the Sussex Stakes at Goodwood at the end of the month over the one mile trip.

Too Darn Hot won three times over the seven-furlong trip last year but failed to land a win this season finishing as the Even money favourite behind Telecaster in the Dante Stakes. He was the 6/4 joint favourite behind Phoenix Of Spain in the Irish 2000 Guineas and 2/1 favourite behind Circus Maximus and King Of Comedy in the St James’s Palace Stakes.

This son of Dubawi has found his form winning at Deauville on Sunday and has earned his favourite stance once again to land the Sussex Stakes against King Of Comedy (7/2), Lord Glitters (8/1) and Phoenix Of Spain (10/1).

The drop back in trip did Too Darn Hot the world of good on Sunday as he got back to winning ways in Deauville for trainer John Gosden.

What a marvellous 24-hours it has been for the trainer

…with Too Darn Hot now 5/2 from 7/1 for the Sussex Stakes at the end of the month.
