Douvan hardens For Arkle As Ar Mad Ruled Out

Following the news that Ar Mad will miss the Racing Post Arkle through injury, we’ve clipped Douvan further into 1/3 from 2/5.

As a result of the scratching of Ar Mad, Vaniteux is now 5/1 from 7/1 and both Sizing John and Garde La Victoire are now 16/1 from 20/1.

In the “Betting Without Douvan” market, Vaniteux is now 13/8 from 7/4, stable mate, L’Ami Serge is now 7/2 from 9/2 whilst Sizing John is 5/1 from 6/1 and Philip Hobb’s Garde La Victoire is 6/1 from 7/1.

The “How far Douvan will win by” market sees over 11 lengths head the betting at 15/8 with Under 9 lengths priced at 2/1 and 9 to 11 Lengths Inclusive on offer at 9/2.
