Douvan Shortens For Champion Chase

Douvan impressed to remain unbeaten at Leopardstown and as a result he is now 2/5 from 1/2 for the Champion Chase.

Altior landed the Wayward Lad Novices’ Chase at Kempton but remains 6/4 favourite for the race.

Over at Chepstow Defi Du Seuil won easily and remains 5/1 favourite for the Triumph Hurdle with the Willie Mullins trained Meri Devie introduced into the betting at 7/1 following his win in the 3-Y-O Maiden Hurdle at Leopardstown. Another horse introduced into the race at 7/1 is Charli Parcs who won the opening Juvenile at Kempton for Nicky Henderson.

Native River continued the excellent form of trainer Colin Tizzard and as a result of his Welsh Grand National victory he is now 14/1 favourite from 20/1 for the Aintree equivalent whilst he is 12/1 from 16/1 for the Cheltenham Gold Cup.

Bacardys also won at Leopardstown to break his maiden duck and remains 25/1 for the Supreme and 16/1 for the Neptune.

Ballyward crowned off a fantastic day for trainer Willie Mullins when landing the concluding bumper at Leopardstown and as a result he is now 8/1 from 20/1 for the Champion Bumper.

Douvan was ultra-impressive at Leopardstown and it’s going to take some horse to overturn him in the Champion Chase next March.

He is now 2/5 from 1/2 for the race with his main danger in the betting, Fox Norton eased to 7/1 from 6/1.”

The Triumph Hurdle betting is also taking shape with Meri Devie and Charli Parcs both very eye catching at Leopardstown and Kempton seeing them both earn 7/1 introductory quotes.
