Faugheen Shortens For Stayers’ Hurdle In Penhill’s Absence

Faugheen has made a move up the antepost market for the Stayers’ Hurdle after last year’s winner Penhill was ruled out of the Cheltenham Festival.

The former Champion Hurdler was backed into 5/1 from 7/1 with BoyleSports after trainer Willie Mullins confirmed his stablemate Penhill would not be able to defend his Stayers’ Hurdle crown.

Paisley Park also tightened his grip on favouritism as a result and is now the 7/4 favourite from 2/1. Samcro, who has been beaten on three seasonal appearances to date, is into 5/1 from 6/1.

BoyleSports meanwhile have confirmed that their Non-Runner No Bet promotion wil be extended to include all races at this year’s Festival from 9am, Friday March 1st.

The offer had stood for the four championship races plus the Ryanair Chase, but from Friday 1st March at 9am, customers have the reassurance of their money back on all of the Festival races should their selection not run.
