Geraghty Now Evens From 2/1 To Be Retained By JP McManus In UK

Following the news that AP McCoy would retire at the end of the season, BoyleSports can report support for Barry Geraghty to be named the next retained jockey for JP McManus in the UK.

Initially installed at 2/1 when the news was announced on Saturday, Geraghty has been subject to support in the past 24 hours and is now priced at Evens to land the coveted job.

As a result of the plunge on Geraghty, Mark Walsh who was initially installed as the 4/6 favourite has been eased out to 11/10. Paul Townend is next in the betting at 6/1.

Aidan Coleman is currently on offer at 20/1 alongside Daryl Jacob with Davy Russell priced at 25/1. Gavin Sheehan who is having a tremendous season in the UK is currently priced at 33/1.

Liam Glynn, PR Executive at BoyleSports said “Since pricing up the market on Saturday we can report massive demand for Barry Geraghty. Initially installed at 2/1 our traders have had to cut him into Evens having laid numerous substantial bets on the Meath man.”

He added “Mark Walsh who is retained by JP McManus in Ireland was initially installed as the 4/6 favourite but we cannot give him away at the moment and he has been eased out to 11/10.”
