Holywell Hot Fav To Land Aintree Bowl

Seven horses have been declared for Thursday’s Aintree Bowl with the Jonjo O’Neill trained Holywell, who finished fourth in the Cheltenham Gold Cup, heading the betting at 7/4.

Last year’s winner, Silviniaco Conti, who finished seventh in the Gold Cup, is now 11/4 to retain his crown. Ma Filleule, who was last seen finishing second in the Ryanair Chase, is next in the betting at 7/2 having been installed at 9/2.

Silviniaco Conti likes it around Aintree and our traders are keen to keep last year’s winner on their side with Holywell proving relatively easy to back at present.

Its then 7/1 that Menorah can go one place better than his 2013 runner up spot with Smad Place 12/1 to bounce back to winning ways after his Gold Cup eight.
Ballynagour (20/1) and the Warren Greatrex trained Vukovar (25/1) make up the septet of runners.
