Kerry Punter Turns €2 Into €17,222 Thanks To 66/1 Outsider

A County Kerry punter rekindled the dying embers of the weekend when a stunning flutter on the horses saw them end their Sunday evening richer to the tune of over €17,000.

The customer placed a total of just €2 via their online BoyleSports account on four horses in the final four races of the day at the Curragh and the run of luck started with the biggest race of the day as Hermosa breezed to success in the Irish 1,000 Guineas at 5/2.

20/1 selection Aussie Valentine and 10/1 pick Dalton Highway won the next two races, but the bet still had its toughest hurdle to overcome as

the appropriately named Telepathy at 66/1 was the final horse on the betslip.

There was a mighty shock however as the final race went the way of the rank outsider, beating the 4/5 favourite into second place.

A €0.05 each-way Lucky 15 bet totalling €1.50 returned an initial €4,271, but a €0.25 each-way accumulator triggered an additional payout of €12,951.53.

When it was all tallied up, the Kingdom native was able to log back in and see their account boosted by a stunning €17,222.54.

It was a superb return for a modest stake and we hope they revel in their big win.
