Kildare Punter bags €13,715 At Royal Ascot

Royal Ascot has proven to be a profitable one for one particular Kildare punter who scooped a staggering €13,715 on Wednesday’s card.

The punter placed a €100 treble on Ribchester in the 2.30 at 7/1, Usherette in the 3.40 at 9/4 and Persuasive in the 5.35 at 9/2.

With Ribchester and Usherette winning their respective races the Kildare native had an intense wait for the final race of the day to see if Persuasive would land the Sandringham Handicap and bag them the jackpot.

Thankfully John Gosden’s Persuasive didn’t disappoint and ensure this punter walked away with an impressive €13,715 windfall.

We are sure they had no nails left as the waited on the final race of the day to see if their treble would click, but Persuasive and jockey Frankie Dettori, lived up to their favourite status and won the 5.35 Sandringham Handicap.
