Limini 8/1 To Do An Annie Power

The Willie Mullins trained Limini made a winning comeback when seeing off Apple’s Jade comfortably in the Listed Quvega Mares Hurdle at Punchestown on Wednesday.

As a result the daughter of Peintre Celebre has shot to the top of the Mares Hurdle betting and is now the 6/4 favourite from 4/1. Runner-up Apple’s Jade has been eased to 9/4 from 6/4.

Limini has also been cut into 8/1 from 14/1 for the Champion Hurdle, the highlight race of day one at the Festival.

Victory would give owner Rich Ricci a hat-trick of wins in the race following on from Annie Power last year and Faugheen in 2015.

Other antepost Cheltenham movers on Tuesday included Unowhatimeanharry, who is now 11/10 from 5/4 for the Stayers Hurdle, whilst both Bristol De Mai and More Of That saw their prices for the Gold Cup clipped into 20/1 from 25/1.
