Louth Life-Changer Sees Punter Toast €110,000 Win

The champagne was popping in County Louth this weekend when a flutter on the horses resulted in an astounding six-figure jackpot making its way into the pocket of a lucky punter.

The customer invested €15 in a local BoyleSports shop on six horses to win on Saturday and were soon on the road to riches as Mason Jar (7/2) won the 12.25 at Ascot, quickly followed by wins for Late Romantic (4/1) and Knockoura (7/2) at Wetherby and Ayr respectively.

5/1 Kapgarry and 11/2 Doctor Dex then won at Wetherby and Ascot to leave a massive sweat on the sixth selection.

It all fell on Kenzai Warrior (5/1), who took the lead in the final stages to land the 2.05 at Newmarket by half a length, the distance between the jackpot being landed and the whole coup being scuppered.

The bulk of their winnings came from a €5 accumulator on the six horses which returned a jaw-dropping €108,590.63, but two further €5 trebles took the total loot to a magnificent €110,070.
