Midterm Backed For Dante Stakes

Sir Michael Stoute’s Midterm who is currently priced at 3/1 to win the Epsom Derby currently heads the Dante Stakes betting at 11/10.

The son of Galileo remains unbeaten on the racecourse and his nearest rival in the betting is John Gosden’s Foundation who is priced at 7/2. Foundation was last seen finishing second to Stormy Antarctic in the Craven Stakes and is currently priced at 14/1 to win the Epsom Derby.

Aidan O’Brien’s Deauville is next in the betting at 5/1 to land Thursday’s Group 2 at York whilst another John Gosden trained horse; Wings Of Desire is next in the betting at 10/1 alongside Black Sea who was last seen winning the 2000 Guineas Trials at Leopardstown.

Midterm will be hoping to enhance his Derby credentials by remaining unbeaten in Thursday’s Dante Stakes at York and at present he’s all the rage with punters at 11/10.

However John Gosden won the race last year with Golden Horn who went onto win the Epsom Derby and the Newmarket handler holds two strong contenders in the form of Foundation and Wings Of Desire.
