No More Heroes Will Show What He’s Capable Of

Ball D’Arc is in really good form and came out of the Grade Two at Naas on Sunday very well.

Winners Keep Rolling
He has just kept improving and surprised us a bit because I thought better ground would have suited him a little bit better than what we raced on Sunday. He’s definitely an improving horse and one we look forward to running in the spring.

He’s entered in the Supreme but we will have to sit down and make a decision closer to the time. He’s a lovely big horse and we’re delighted with what he has shown us so far. Let’s hope he keeps improving.

Cranking It Up A Notch
Our daily routine is really cranking up a notch now as we gear up for Cheltenham and all of the spring festivals. I was galloping horses today and they’re all looking in great shape.

I’m really happy with them, it’s just a case of getting them to their respective targets in tip top shape.

I like to do my own thing with my horses and stick to the way we have been doing it down through the years. If it’s not broken, well then don’t fix it! We’ll keep them ticking over between now and Cheltenham and hopefully keep them all in one piece.

Hoping For A Hero
At the moment, the main horse I’m excited about sending to Cheltenham is No More Heroes. He’s done everything we have asked of him and everyone knows how I feel about him.

He’s a really good horse and I hope he shows what he’s capable of in three weeks’ time.

Elsewhere, I think Thistlecrack is one everyone should be banking on also, like I recommended a few weeks ago.

CHELTENHAM 2-3

Cheltenham Memories
Everyone you talk to now is excited for Cheltenham and you can really feel the buzz. My earliest Cheltenham Festival memory is Cool Ground winning the Gold Cup back in 1992. Adrian Maguire gave him a brilliant ride and I would say I have been hooked ever since.

On a personal level, my best Cheltenham moment was training both Carlito Brigante and Chicago Grey to win there. Let’s hope we can get a few more this year, and when the weights come out for the handicaps I will have a much better idea of what my festival squad will look like.
