Rescue Me! Boylesports Help Out Injured Jockeys

Boylesports have come to the rescue of the Irish Injured Jockeys and will transport the Roadshow Unit to Ballybrit in time for next week’s festival.

Due to unforeseen circumstances, the unit is currently stuck in Kildare and Irish Injured Jockeys put out the call for help on their Facebook and Twitter pages to which we naturally responded this morning.

The emergency support comes just months after our firm paid out a whooping €11,056 to the Jockeys Emergency Fund honouring a charity bet double placed by Barry Geraghty at their annual Cheltenham Preview night at Café en Seine, Dublin.

The Irish Injured Jockeys Roadshow will be in situ at Ballybrit for the Festival offering patrons information, a chance to shop Injured Jockey merchandise and donate to the fund.

Just last week, paralysed jockey Jonjo Bright took an incredible 37 steps in an Esco Skelton Suit at RACE – visit www.irishinjuredjockey.com for all the news and ways to support their cause – a heartwarming sight.

Alan Reilly, head of Boylesports PR commented: “We are absolutely delighted to help the Irish Injured Jockeys Roadshow make it to the track on time! It is our pleasure to be once again associated with the wonderful efforts of everyone both working for the IIJ and those donating to this most worthy cause.”

Carey-Ann Lordan, PR & Marketing Manager for the IIJ said: “On behalf of Irish Injured Jockeys, I would like to sincerely thank the entire team at Boylesports for coming to our rescue. We wish them a very busy Galway Races next week in return for their goodwill and continued support!”
