Support For God’s Own In BoyleSports Champion Chase

With just one week to go until the Grade 1 BoyleSports Champion Chase on the opening day of the 2016 Punchestown Festival, we can report support for the Tom George trained God’s Own.

Last seen winning the Grade 1 JLT Melling Chase at Aintree, the son of Oscar is now 8/1 having been installed initially at 14/1.

Willie Mullins’ Vautour is the new 4/5 favourite to win the race as original favourite Un De Sceaux is likely to run at Sandown on Saturday. As a result Un De Sceaux has been eased out to 2/1 having initially been installed as the 4/6 favourite.

Kerry Lee’s Top Gamble who won the G2 Normans Grove Chase at Fairyhouse is next in the betting at 4/1 with the aforementioned God’s Own available at 8/1 alongside Henry De Bromhead’s Special Tiara and Willie Mullins’ Felix Younger.

With Un De Sceaux and Vautour holding entries at Sandown on Saturday, the race may well become very open and no doubt we will see plenty of outsiders come in for support in the coming days if the top two in the betting take their chance across the pond as Mullins bids to win the UK NH Trainers’ Championship.
