Thistlecrack Shortens For Cheltenham Gold Cup

Thistlecrack has been cut further as the Cheltenham Gold Cup favourite after an impressive chase debut at Chepstow saw him land the Aspen Waite Complete Business Growth Service Novices’ Chase.

The Colin Tizzard trained 8-year-old was quickly cut into 5/1 from 6/1 for the Gold Cup after he bounded over the fences and won with ease and finesse.

Thistlecrack is by far the largest ante post liability in the book for the Gold Cup and we suspect that liability to only grow after his outstanding chase debut win.

Vautour remains in Thistlecrack’s shadow at 7/1 with Gordon Elliott’s Don Cossack next at 8/1 and Cue Card on offer at 10/1.
