Trust Lyons To Take Charge Of Isaac

In winning the Railway Stakes on Saturday, Ger Lyons was getting the better of Aidan O’Brien with Medicine Jack beating Peace Envoy and in the International Stakes on Sunday Lyons can come out on top again.

Ger In Charge
This time it is Chemical Charge who is trusted to beat Royal Ascot winner Sir Isaac Newton.

At Ballydoyle on Monday morning Aidan O’Brien pretty much said that his runner hasn’t always brought to the track what they see him do at home so it could be a case of trying to strike while the iron is hot with him and he’s 6/4 to win again.

However, you’d have to fancy the chances of Chemical Charge at 13/8 if he can come forward as one would expect from his first run of the season.

The son of Sea The Stars ran for the first time in a year and a half when following home Portage at the Curragh last month and with the winner going on to win again at Royal Ascot, the form was done absolutely no harm at all.

Start With a Shortie
Sunday’s opening maiden was won by Gleneagles in 2014 and this time around his full brother Taj Mahal will represent Aidan O’Brien and the Coolmore team.

Taj Mahal won’t be a big price but the vibes from Ballydoyle are very good about this one and you’ll certainly back worse 4/5 shots.

Second favourite Moritzburg has had two encouraging runs for Mick Halford and we know that Aidan O’Brien’s can often come on for their first outing so the experience of the Halford colt will be a big plus but Taj Mahal could well be the real deal.

Recommended Bets:
Taj Mahal – 2.15 Curragh
Chemical Charge – 2.45 Curragh
