Un De Sceaux heads BoyleSports Champion Chase

Eighteen entries have been revealed for the €200,000 Grade 1 BoyleSports Champion Chase which takes place at Punchestown on Tuesday April 26th.

Willie Mullins’ Un De Sceaux has been installed as the 4/6 favourite as he bids to get back to winning ways following his second in the Queen Mother Champion Chase at Cheltenham.

Special Tiara, who finished third in the Queen Mother, is next in the betting at 4/1 alongside Top Gamble.

Kerry Lee’s charge will be bidding to register another graded success on Irish soil..

…having landed the Grade 2 Normans Grove at Fairyhouse last time out.

Last year’s winner Felix Younger, who won the BoyleSports Tied Cottage back at Punchestown in January, but pulled up in the Champion Chase at Cheltenham, is next in the betting at 10/1 whilst God’s Own, who landed the Grade 1 JLT Melling Chase at Aintree last week, is priced at 14/1 for trainer Tom George.

Gordon Elliott holds entries with Bright New Dawn and Clarcam who are both priced at 25/1, whilst Twinlight, who finished sixth in the race last year is the outsider of Willie Mullins’ entries also at 25/1.
