Jon Rahm USPGA Championship Odds 2023 – Two In A Row At Oak Hill?

We have Jon Rahm USPGA Championship Odds for you as the recently crowned Masters champions bids to make it two majors in a row in May.

What are Jon Rahm’s USPGA Championship Odds?

Jon Rahm is 9/1 to win the USPGA Championship 2023. According to those odds Rahm has a 10% chance of winning this year’s PGA Championship.

The 2023 Masters Champion is the co-favourite in the betting odds along with 2022 Masters Champion Scottie Scheffler and 4-time major champion Rory McIlroy who both also have been installed at odds of 9/1 to win the 2023 USPGA.

What is Jon Rahm’s record at the USPGA Championship?

Jon Rahm has never won the PGA Championship and he would become the first Spanish golfer to win the tournament. The Spaniard finished top 5 in the USPGA once, that was back in 2018 at Bellerive. He has one other top 10 finish which came in 2021 at Kiawah Island.

Rahm’s most recent appearance in the PGA Championship was in 2022 when he placed T48 in what was a disappointing week. He has missed the cut at this major on one occasion which was in 2019 when it was held at Bethpage Black.

How Many Major Championships has Jon Rahm won?

Jon Rahm has won two major championships. His first major win came at the 2021 US Open when he beat Louis Oosthuizen by one stroke at Torrey Pines. Rahm’s second major came at the 2023 Masters after a brilliant display saw him overturn a two-shot deficit going into the final round at Augusta National.

How many times have Masters Champions gone on to win the USPGA in the same year?

The Masters champion has only once gone on to win the PGA Championship in the same year since the USPGA became a stroke play event in 1958. Jack Nicklaus was the golfer who achieved this feat back in 1975.

Sam Snead in 1949 and Jack Burke Jr. in 1956 won the Masters and then went on to win the PGA Championship later in the year when the PGA Championship was a match play event.

What is Jon Rahm’s world ranking?

Jon Rahm returned to number one in the Official World Golf Rankings after his Masters victory in April. Rahm has reached the top of the world golf rankings on six occasions. Scottie Scheffler was the world number one golfer before Rahm’s 2023 Masters win.

Jon Rahm’s Form in 2023

Jon Rahm already has a staggering four tournament wins in 2023 with the most recent of those of course coming at the 2023 Masters.

The two-time major champion’s other victories this year came at the Tournament of Champions, The American Express and The Genesis Open. Rahm has not missed a cut this year with his worst performance being T7 at the Farmers Insurance Open.

This means that Rahm has not finished outside the top 10 in a stroke play event this year. He did fail to qualify out of the group stages at the WGC Matchplay in March which is the only blemish in a phenomenal run of form to start the year.

Collin Morikawa was 30/1 pre-tournament when he won the USPGA Championship in 2020.

Brooks Koepka was 10/1 pre-tournament when he won the USPGA Championship in 2019.

Brooks Koepka was 18/1 pre-tournament when he won the USPGA Championship in 2018.

Other USPGA Championship 2023 Betting Favourites

Rory McIlroy

Jon Rahm is joined as co-favourite for the 2023 USPGA Championship by Rory McIlory who is also 9/1 to win the Wanamaker Trophy this May. McIlroy is a two-time USPGA Championship having won the event in 2012 at Kiawah Island and 2014 at Valhalla Golf Club.

McIlroy has been very poor in the two biggest events of the golfing calendar so far. The Northern Irish man missed the cut at both the Players Championship and at the Masters which he went into as the pre-tournament favourite.

Scottie Scheffler

The other co-favourite at odds of 9/1 for the 2023 USPGA Championship is Scottie Scheffler. The American was displaced from the world number one spot by Jon Rahm after the Spaniard’s Masters win.

Scheffler has been in good form so far this year and added a Players Championship, the ‘fifth major’ to his impressive resume. He also has major championship pedigree with his Masters victory in 2022.

Scheffler has finished top 10 twice in the PGA Championship with a T4 finish in 2020 and a T8 2021. He will be aiming to make amends for his 2022 performance at the USPGA where he uncharacteristically missed the cut.
