Jury On Duty For Elliott At Naas

If you are looking for something to do on Sunday, Naas is worth the trip as they launch their new facilities overlooking the parade ring and stage some decent racing as well with the Champion Hurdle entry Arcenfete making his debut for Henry de Bromhead.

That could be a race to sit out from a punting point of view but there’s others on the card that look worth following.

Elliott On Duty Again
The Grade 3 novice chase on the card looks a decent contest but Jury Duty is the standout horse and should be able to return to winning ways for Gordon Elliott and BoyleSports ambassador Robbie Power.

Jury Duty ran a blinder in Grade 1 company last time, albeit that was a dramatic sort of race, but eventually he just gave best to his stable companion Shattered Love and despite the fact that he has to concede weight all around here as a Grade 2 winner he should come out on top.

Livelovelaugh is the obvious danger and the 8lbs will be a big help on testing ground over a tough three-miles at Naas but it is a step up in grade for him too and…

Jury Duty is selected to oblige.

The Power-ful One
Jessica Harrington’s squad of horses may have bypassed the winners enclosure for a couple of weeks over Christmas but that was a temporary issue and the Gold Cup winning trainer has been back doing what she does best of late with The Holy One picked to land the maiden hurdle at Naas.

As you would expect at Naas this looks a decent maiden hurdle and As You Were and Ballyward are two obvious dangers but The Holy One is a point-to-point winner who can win on the track at the third time of asking.

The Holy One has been second in two bumpers since being sent to Harrington and the level of form in those races stacks up to say that he could become a decent recruit to the hurdles.

Drop In Trip Can Help Mouse’s Charge
Tout Est Permis wasn’t disgraced when reverting to hurdles to finish fourth at Cork last time on testing ground but the Gigginstown-owned five-year-old drops back to two-miles today and that can help him go close in the handicap hurdle.

Fitted with a tongue tie for the first time, Tout Est Permis won’t be on the Gigginstown ‘a team’ but…

he should be up to exploiting a nice rating over hurdles with Jack Kennedy booked to ride.
