La La Land Hoping For Oscars Award Sweep

The Oscar nominations have been released and musical romance flick, La La Land, looks set to continue its award dominance, according to the odds.

La La Land is the 1/4 strong favourite to walk away with the Academy Award for Best Picture

with Director Daniel Chazelle also leading the charge in the Best Director category at odds of 1/8.

Leading actress Emma Stone, who plays Mia in La La Land, is also hotly tipped to take the award for Best Actress at 8/11. Stone’s main competition in the category is Natalie Portman, who portrays Jackie O in the biography Jackie and is the 13/8 second favourite for the award.

Ryan Gosling is however lagging in the Best Actor category at large odds of 11/1 to give La La Land the Big Three sweep at the Oscars. Casey Affleck is the current 2/7 favourite for his role in Manchester by the Sea with Denzel Washington also ahead of Gosling at 7/2 for his performance in Fences.

In the Supporting Actor and Actress category, Moonlight‘s Mahershala Ali (1/5) and Fences’ Viola Davis (1/14) are respective favourites.
