Limerick New All-Ireland Favourites After League Win

Limerick are the new favourites for the All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship this year after they caught the eye of punters in the National League Final on Sunday.

The Treaty were never behind in the Croke Park decider and ended the match with a comfortable 8-point cushion as they secured their first league title since 1997.

The scramble to back the All-Ireland winners retaining the Liam MacCarthy Cup later this year has seen them tighten into 10/3, having been 9/2 before throw-in on Sunday

That makes them the new favourites ahead of Galway, who have been pushed out to 4/1 from 3/1, while beaten league finalists Waterford are also on the reverse in the market sliding out to 10/1 from 7/1 pre-match.

John Kiely’s side are also favourites at 2/1 from 3/1 to win the Munster Championship for the first time in six years ahead of 7/2 shots Tipperary.
