The former Manchester United & Everton player spoke about his pick for this year’s race, as well as detailing who of his former teammates also enjoyed the famous horse racing event.

“At Manchester United, Wayne Rooney, John O’Shea and Wes Brown were absolute fanatics. They loved getting dressed up and their wives did too. I can remember all through the year thinking about those moments as it’s such an event.

“…but Wazza and a lot of players like Darren Fletcher really liked it too; it was part of the culture at Manchester United.

ABOUT LOUIS SAHA

Louis Laurent Saha is a French former professional footballer who played as a striker for Metz, Newcastle United, Fulham, Everton, Tottenham, Sunderland, Lazio & most famously Manchester United.

Saha was also capped 20 times for the France national team, scoring four goals.

Saha enjoyed success with Manchester United, twice winning the Premier League, the UEFA Champions League and also scored six times en route to victory in the League Cup, including one goal in the final.

After four-and-a-half years at United, Everton took him to Goodison Park, where he opened the scoring in the 2009 FA Cup Final after 25 seconds, setting the record for the fastest goal scored in FA Cup Final history.
