Lucky 15 & Each-Way Acca Lands Huge Racing Betting Win Over 100k

Four horses beat the betting odds to land a remarkable six-figure win for a BoyleSports punter placing a Lucky 15 and Each-Way bet.

The anonymous customer put down their bets in a BoyleSports shop in the Banner County on Saturday, investing a total of €70 in a €2 each-way Lucky 15 and a €5 each-way accumulator on the horses running in the UK.

WHAT IS A LUCKY 15 BET?

WHAT IS AN EACH-WAY BET?

Madame Ambassador was picked out at 11/1 in the 4.27 at Newmarket and landed the first leg by less than a length, while wins for Kalahari Prince (16/1) in the 4.32 at Redcar and Dream Composer (11/2) in the 4.45 at Ascot left just one horse standing in the way of a staggering jackpot.

All eyes turned to the 5.37 at Redcar, where the winning streak was completed by a victory for 9/1 shot Helvetique.

That made it four winners from four and with betslips sky-rocketing in value to €63,698.94 and €37,528.86 as well as €1,000 in special offers added, the shrewd punter walked away from the shop with a jaw-dropping total of €102,227.80.

Lawrence Lyons, spokesperson for BoyleSports said: “We send huge congratulations to our big winner in County Clare for picking up such an astronomical sum of money from their Saturday racing flutter. With over €102,000 in the bank, it’s safe to say they’ll not forget that weekend in a hurry and we wish them all the best with their winnings.”

Elsewhere, a punter in County Waterford is in the money after landing a four-figure windfall from a shrewd horse racing bet.

The anonymous winner picked out four horses in a BoyleSports shop on Saturday and put them into a €3 each-way Lucky 15, amounting to a total stake of €90.

There was a shaky start when the first of the four horses King of Ithaca (66/1) finished well down the field in the 2.06 at Newmarket, but wins at Ascot for 3/1 favourite Rohaan and at Killarney for 25/1 pick Drish Melody left the hopeful punter on the verge of a significant consolation.

It all rested on Escobar in the 3.36 at Ascot, who also won despite going off at odds of 20/1.

That made it three winners from four, which was enough to send the betslip sky-rocketing in value to a mega €9,231.60.

Lawrence Lyons, spokesperson for BoyleSports said: “Huge congratulations to our County Waterford customer who didn’t even need all their horses to win to be rolling in the cash. With 25/1 and 20/1 winners picked out, we have to say fair play and we hope they enjoy their winnings.”
