Money Back On Gold Cup Hero Coneygree

Following the news that Cheltenham Gold Cup hero Coneygree has been ruled out for the rest of the season due to injury, we are refunding bets across numerous races.

Having been ruled out of the King George, Lexus Chase and 2016 Cheltenham Gold Cup, we will be refunding all single stakes as a free bet up to €50 win or €25 each-way on Ante Post bets placed on the Mark Bradstock trained Coneygree.

In the King George VI Chase, Don Cossack leads the charge at 9/4 from 11/4 with Vautour on offer at 5/2 and Cue Card next at 4/1.

Don Poli has strengthened further as the favourite for the Lexus Chase, shortening into 6/4 from 7/4 with Road To Riches also cut from 9/2 to 7/2.

There had been significant interest in Coneygree to retain the Cheltenham Gold Cup in 2016 and he stood as a large four figure loser for us.

We hope that the refunded bets will give some solace to punters who were no doubt looking forward to seeing the 8-year-old make a bid to retain his title.

Thankfully the injury is not thought to be career-threatening and we would like to wish Coneygree a speedy recovery as we patiently await his return to jump racing.
