Mourinho Backed To Be Next Manager Gone

Jose Mourinho has been backed further to be the first Premier League manager out of a job this season after his Manchester United side crashed to a 3-2 defeat at Brighton & Hove Albion.

United failed to mount any challenge in the second half after going into the break with a 3-1 deficit following a shaky defensive performance in the first 45 minutes.

BoyleSports cut Mourinho into 9/2 from 5/1 to be the next Premier League manager to leave his post before the final whistle had even sounded at the Amex stadium. Relations between the manager and boss Ed Woodward were said to be strained after a clash over transfer policy before the summer window closed.

The Red Devils are now out to 20/1 from 12/1 to win their first league title since Sir Alex Ferguson retired from the Old Trafford dugout. Neighbours Manchester City meanwhile went from 8/13 into 4/7 for a successful title defence after their 6-1 demolition of Huddersfield earlier on Sunday.

Things were looking perilous for Jose Mourinho before the season had even started and it shouldn’t take many more performances like that at Brighton for the tide to turn completely against him.

We saw some significant bets on him being the next manager to go before the Brighton match had even finished

…so it’s safe to say some punters think Jose’s days are numbered.
