Kenny has endured an inconsistent UEFA Nations League campaign, with Saturday’s 2-1 defeat to Scotland meaning they can finish no higher than third in the group ahead of Tuesday’s finale against Armenia.
But in the lead up to kick-off, punters are already speculating on potential successors to Stephen Kenny in the dugout as Neil Lennon was backed down to 5/2 from 7/1 with BoyleSports, making the former Celtic boss the clear favourite should a vacancy arise.
Chris Hughton, who is currently working as a technical advisor to the Ghana national team, is the 9/2 second favourite, with other former players Roy Keane (6/1) and Damien Duff (7/1) also prominent in the betting.
Republic of Ireland remain odds-on favourites to end their campaign by avenging an away defeat to the Armenians in June, but they were eased slightly to 4/11 from 1/3 following goals from Jack Hendry and Ryan Christie at Hampden Park which wiped out John Egan’s opener.
