Next Southampton Manager Odds
We have the next Southampton manager odds for you as Ralph Hasenhuttl was sacked after almost four years in charge at the club.
Hasenhuttl’s exit came after Southampton’s 4-1 defeat at the hands of high-flying Newcastle. The decision makers in the club felt that they had seen enough as the team linger in the Premier League relegation zone with 12 points after fourteen matches played.
Now with the World Cup break coming up in a week’s time there is an added motivation for the club to appoint someone to turn things around sooner rather than later.
You can check out all the contenders to become the next Southampton manager below.

Candidates To Be The Next Southampton Manager
The strong odds-on favourite to replace Ralph Hasenhuttl as Southampton manager is Nathan Jones. The Luton Town boss has impressed during his tenure at the club as Luton currently sit at 8th in the Championship table.
Given his impressive management record in the Championship the Welsh man is now being backed to make the step up to the Premier League level.
It would be a big blow to Luton if Jones is to leave as the team sit just outside the play-off places, but it would be hard for the 49-year-old to pass up a management opportunity in England’s top-flight.
You can back Nathan Jones to be Southampton’s next permanent manager at odds of 1/4.
As with every Premier League manager opening in recent times Sean Dyche is linked with this Southampton job. Dyche was of course manager of Burnley for almost ten years and in that time he was very well respected for the job that he did with the limited resources at his disposal.
Dyche was relieved of his duties at Turf Moor earlier in the year after a season that saw the team struggle in the Premier League. Many criticised the sacking at the time as a rash decision by the club.
The 51-year-old is among the most popular managers in England and will surely land another Premier League job at some point in the near future. Southampton would appear to be a perfect fit for Dyche which makes 4/1 odds look like good value here.
The third favourite in the race to be the next Southampton manager is Marcelo Gallardo. The Argentine is currently managing River Plate who are one of the biggest clubs in South America.
The 46-year-old is set to leave the Argentinian giant in December when his contract runs out after a legendary spell at the club which saw him guide them to fourteen trophies. Gallardo has previously been linked to Man United and FC Barcelona so it looks like he might want to try his luck at managing in one of Europe’s top leagues.
If Southampton can convince him to come to St Mary’s, then it would be a massive boost in their bid for Premier League survival this season. Marcelo Gallardo is 11/2 to become the next permanent Southampton manager.
The ex-Bournemouth manager is one of the more popular names being linked to the vacancy at Southampton. Parker also managed Fulham in the Premier League during the 2020-21 season which ended up in the London side being relegated.
Earlier in this Premier League season Parker was in charge of Bournemouth when they suffered a 9-0 loss to Liverpool. He was sacked shortly after that result. Parker has had success, but this has all come at the Championship level where he guided both Bournemouth and Fulham to promotion.
The 42-year-old is still young by managerial standards so maybe he deserves another shot to prove that he can cut it as a manager at the Premier League level. Scott Parker is 10/1 to be the next permanent Southampton manager.
The Norwegian national is currently in charge of FK Bodo/Glimt who are one of the top teams in Norway. Knutsen is highly regarded by many as a manager that plays attractive attacking football while also developing young talent.
The 54-year-old has recently been linked with English clubs Burnley and Brighton. It appears that there is some interest on the part of the Norwegian in coming to manage in England so maybe he sees Southampton as the perfect opportunity do to just that.
Signing Knutsen as manager would be a bit of a gamble by Southampton as he is coming from a league which is a much lower standard. However, he has had success with his club in European competition. You can back Knutsen to be the next Southampton manager at 11/1.
