Tom Brady Backed To Be Super Bowl LV MVP

Tom Brady is being backed to add to his roll of honour after the Tampa Bay Buccaneers booked a spot in Super Bowl LV to become the first team to play in NFL’s showpiece in their own stadium.

The 43-year-old threw three touchdown passes in a thrilling NFC Championship game victory over the Green Bay Packers and will complete his debut season in Florida at the Raymond James Stadium when the Kansas City Chiefs make the trip early next month.

The reigning Super Bowl champions are the odds-on favourites at 4/7 to lift the Vince Lombardi trophy for the third time, while Tampa Bay are 7/5 underdogs for the showdown as they chase their second Super Bowl victory and first since 2002.

That would represent a seventh Super Bowl ring for Brady, whose performance against the Packers has seen him backed into 7/4 from 6/1 to be crowned Super Bowl MVP.

Opposing number Patrick Mahomes is the 8/11 favourite to pick up the accolade for the second year running.

Neutrals couldn’t have asked for a better decider with Patrick Mahomes and Tom Brady leading the offenses and while the former is favourite, it’s no foregone conclusion and the early betting suggests a three-point margin could swing it in either direction.

There was a huge gamble on Tampa Bay when they secured Brady’s signature last year and those who piled in at 25/1 on a Super Bowl win are now within one game of some significant payouts.
