Big Celebrations As We Open Our 250th BoyleSports Shop

We celebrated the opening of our 250th shop in Kilcullen, Co. Kildare on Wednesday. Ireland’s largest independent bookmaker was founded in 1982 by John Boyle, who set out on the mammoth target of opening 250 BoyleSports stores across Ireland.

The momentous occasion didn’t go unmarked and saw our shops nationwide treated to a party throughout the day, involving giveaways for staff and plenty of special offers for loyal customers.

Our longest serving staff members were also rewarded to thank them for their fantastic service which is such an important part of our continuing success.

We continue to invest significantly in our shops, installing state-of-the-art screens and new furnishings, all aimed at giving customers the best possible experience.

Conor Gray, CEO of BoyleSports, said:
“I am delighted we have reached the 250-shop target set by John Boyle, BoyleSports founder and executive chairman. Having reached that target we still feel there is plenty of room for BoyleSports to flourish. When a customer in Ireland wants to place a bet, they should have access to a BoyleSports store. We think 300 shops should help us meet that target.”

Robbie Power, Gold Cup winning jockey and BoyleSports Horse Racing Ambassador said:
“It’s fantastic to be here in Kilcullen to celebrate BoyleSports opening its 250th shop. It’s an incredible achievement for an independently owned company that started from humble beginnings.”

Offering some thoughts on the upcoming National Hunt racing season, Power said;
“This week’s Listowel Festival really kick-starts the National Hunt season and on a personal note I’m determined to get straight back to the winner’s enclosure again after my recent shoulder surgery”.
