Bruno Mars And Rihanna Favourites To Snap Up Fourth Croke Park Date

BoyleSports are offering odds on who will play the proposed fourth date in Croke Park this year after Aiken Promotions applied for permission for the extra date, which is expected to be May 17th.

Bruno Mars may already be stopping in Dublin’s Marlay Park in July but he is heading the betting at 3/1 to make a pit stop in Croker in May also.

Mars is not alone at the head of the betting however as Rihanna is also the 3/1 favourite. Although the Wild Thoughts singer hasn’t held a tour since her 2016 Anti World Tour, her electric Grammys performance suggests the Croker stage could be next on her hit list.

Adele hasn’t graced an Irish stage since 2015, but at 9/2 it is by no means a longshot that the Send My Love singer could snap up the extra date.

With three dates already sold out in Dublin’s Phoenix Park in May and two extra dates added, Ed Sheeran is 5/1 to take on Croke Park to appease disappointed Irish fans.

The Garth Brook saga could be rectified in May, after cancelling four dates at the venue in 2014, it is 12/1 that he will take on the new fourth date.

Other names in the running for the fourth date in Croke Park include, The Killers (8/1), U2 (80/1), who already have dates in Dublin as part of their eXPERIENCE + iNNOCENCE tour and Coldplay (66/1), who sold out the venue in 2017.

Fans and promoters have been crying out for four dates at Croke Park and their prayers may just be answered this May…

…but the question is who will be lucky enough to bag the venue? Bruno Mars and Rihanna are joint 3/1 favourites, but we are already seeing support for Ed Sheeran at 5/1 and even Garth Brooks at 12/1.
