Irish Influenced Oz Eurovision Act On The Cards?

Australia have finally got their Eurovision wish granted and will compete in the 2015 Song Contest.

To mark the 60th anniversary of everyone’s favourite guilty pleasure, Australia were invited to participate and have been given a straight pass to the final.

We have priced the newcomers at 12/1 to win the Eurovision outright with a place in the Top 4 looking more likely at 11/4.

With so many Irish over in Australia, it’s 8/1 that the act representing the country will be of Irish descent.

Some countries may not take kindly to the special treatment of Australia and it is 25/1 that they will walk away with the dreaded nil points.

The search continues for Ireland’s Eurovison act and there has been a shakeup in the betting in the past 24 hours. Nikki Kavanagh was the strong Even money favourite to win the Eurosong competition with ‘Memories’ but has since been eased slightly out to 5/4 as support comes in for other acts.

Erika Selin is holding out as the 5/2 second favourite but it is Kat Mahon who has been receiving all of the support from punters. Kat’s song ‘Anybody Got A Shoulder’ has proven popular and she has been backed into 3/1 from 13/2.

Molly Sterling is now priced at 5/1 from 6/1 to represent the Emerald Isle with ‘Playing with Numbers’ whilst Alex Saint and the MJs have been pushed out to 20/1 from 14/1.
