Dancing With The Stars Ireland is returning to RTÉ in the new year with some celebrity names already confirmed to try and win the famous Glitterball.

An early frontrunner in the market is Lottie Ryan who was introduced at 10/1 when the news broke but was soon cut into 4/1.

Lottie is a trained dancer who studied at New York’s Broadway Dance Centre and taught dance classes in Dublin for several years so that is sure to give the RTÉ presenter a jump-start in the competition.

Fair City star Ryan Andrews is 10/1 to lift the dancing trophy after it was announced he was a confirmed runner. Best known for his role as Sean Cassidy on RTÉ’s Fair City, Ryan has been tipped by one of the judges, Julian Benson, to win the show. He says Ryan is the dark horse of the new series.

Brian Dowling, who has not yet been confirmed for the show, has been rumoured to take part with his odds cut into 11/2 second favourite from 8/1.

The 2001 Big Brother winner is well liked and with husband Arthur Gourounlian as a choreographer, Brian will be a big hit with fans to dance his way to more success on TV.

Also confirmed to take part are B’Witched pop star Sinead O’Carroll (9/1), TV presenter Glenda Gilson (12/1) and beauty queen Grainne Gallanagh (20/1).

Airing on RTÉ One for 12 weeks from Sunday 5 January at 6.30pm, a total of 11 celebrities will partner with their professional dancers as they take on a brand-new challenge and change their daily routines for dance routines.
