Ten contestants remain in this year’s edition of Strictly Come Dancing and it’s Jay McGuinness who has hardened further at the head of the betting.

The former Wanted singer is now 8/11 from 5/6 and is still proving popular with punters having been as big as 10/1 prior to the competition commencing.

Support for the original favourite Peter Andre has dried up and he has drifted further to 11/2, whilst actress Georgia May Foote has her fans after topping the leaderboard with dance partner Giovanni Pernice at the weekend.

The Coronation Street star has seen some shrewd support and is now 8/1 from 9/1 to claim the Glitterball trophy following her Tango on Saturday night.

Both Helen George and Anita Rani are priced at 9/1 with Katie Derham next in the betting at 12/1. Jamelia has drifted to 66/1 with BBC weather presenter Carol Kirkwood the outsider of the remaining ten at 250/1.
