Moore’s God-Daughter To Woo Miss Ireland Judges

Miss Ireland

Outright Betting

Ireland’s longest running pageant Miss Ireland grand final will take place on Saturday 19th July in the Ballsbridge Hotel. The competition has produced some now famous names such as 2003 Miss World, Rosanna Davison and reigning queen, Aoife Walsh.

36 ladies will be donning their evening gowns and perfecting their beachwear ahead of the final, but who is topping the betting?

Boylesports is torn between two beauties for the top spot with Miss Show Dublin, Andrea Rooney, a model with NoPolka.com and Miss Carlow, Fiona Foley, both installed as 7/2 favourites. Rebecca O’Donovan, a model with Lockdown Models, is donning the sash for The Dress Bar in Cork and can be backed at 4/1 to strip Aoife Walsh from her title. Representing Louth is Fionnula Short who is 5/1 to win it for the Wee County.

Miss Kilkenny, Sarah Jane Dunne is Miss Ireland’s first ever candidate from the Travelling Community. That is not all she also has a very well know godfather in Christy Moore and at 10/1 to win it seems she will be no Ordinary woman.

Laura Fox is the Director of Media Marketing at Corrib House Tea Rooms and Miss Sunday World’s representative in the pageant; she is on offer at 20/1, alongside Miss Kildare, Sarah Kavanagh. 2fm’s Miss Personality winner, Laura McCormack is at the lower end of the betting at 33/1.

With 36 beautiful ladies to choose from, it seems our traders were split between two candidates with Miss Carlow, Fiona Foley, and Miss Show Dublin, Andrea Rooney joint favourites for the crown.

Miss Kilkenny Sarah Jane has been stealing headlines surrounding the Miss Ireland pageant as she is the first lady from the Travelling Community to qualify and will no doubt see a mass of support.
