Saoirse Ronan Shortens For Best Actress Oscar For Upcoming Film
Carlow born actress Saoirse Ronan is being backed to not only win a fifth Oscar nomination next year for her role in her upcoming movie about a lesbian romance, but to win the Best Actress title for the first time.
Saoirse was backed into 11/10 last month with BoyleSports for her fifth Oscar nomination for her starring role opposite Kate Winslet in the period movie, Ammonite. Those odds were quickly whipped up as the Irish star is now a short 1/8.
The Atonement star received her fourth nod at this year’s awards for her brilliant performance in Greta Gerwig’s Little Women but lost out to Renée Zellweger’s portrayal of Judy Garland.
The Irish talent is now 33/1 from 66/1 to win an Oscar at the 2021 awards for Best Actress.
Robert Pattison is also fancied to bag a Best Actor Oscar for his role in the upcoming Batman movie. The Batman movie is set to be released in June 2021, but Pattison is already fancied to win the biggest award of them all with his odds trimmed into 10/1 from 16/1. It features a stellar cast with the likes of Colin Farrell as Penguin, Zoe Kravitz as Catwoman and Paul Dano as the Riddler joining Robert onscreen.
