Stringer Is The New Dancing With The Stars Favourite
Punters have gambled on Fred Crooke to take the Dancing With The Stars Ireland Gitterball trophy ahead of launch night.
The comedian’s odds crumbled from being the 33/1 firm outsider to win to 8/1 on Sunday after a flurry of large bets rolled into us.
The celebrities have yet to take to the dancefloor, but already things in the betting are beginning to heat up.
There’s a new favourite to win after Ireland and Munster rugby legend Peter Stringer broke away from joint 7/2 favouritism alongside Love/Hate and Fair City Johnny Ward to lead the market at 5/2. TV’s bad boy Ward is now the 3/1 second favourite with former Miss Ireland Holly Carpenter in third place at 9/2.
Former Dublin footballer and five-time All-Ireland champion Denis Bastick is next at 6/1 with Country singer Cliona Hagan and fashion stylist Darren Kennedy are both 13/2 apiece.
