Further Support For Kerry Rose Sally-Ann Leahy

Rose of Tralee

Outright Betting

It’s been 55 years since Tralee Rose Margaret O’Keeffe scored a local victory in the Rose of Tralee, but this year’s Kerry representative is in prime position to buck that trend as Sally-Ann Leahy was backed into favourite to wear the winner’s sash at this year’s festival.

The Causeway native and Home Economics teacher was originally a 12/1 chance,

but the travel enthusiast has made her way to to second in the betting after support from the South-West saw her odds sink into 5/1.

That means she leapfrogs previous favourite Emer Fogarty (6/1), the psychology graduate who is hoping to become the first Kildare representative to be crowned the Rose of Tralee.

Other candidates gaining significant early support are Chicago Rose Shana Pembroke who has plummeted into 4/1 favourite from 22/1 and the Galway born Clare Rose Victoria O’Connell who is 7/1 from 12/1.
